Combine the value area with our zones, and you have even higher odds and probabilities!

In this screenshot of the Value Area Confirmation setup, we have added Volume-based Value Area (VA) lines in orange and the ToTheTick Support/Resistance Zones in light Blue. The area between the orange lines is where 70% of the previous day’s ES volume was traded.

On days where the ES opens inside the VA lines, and where there are Zones present near the lines, there is more confidence in shorting the upper Zone/VA area, and going long the lower Zone/VA area. Conversely, if the ES market opens outside the VA, and/or Zones are not present near the upper/lower VA lines, ignore the VA for that day.
